Would you like to enjoy a wonderful and relaxed week on the Friesian waters?
Join us then in the week, mentioned at the top, in the Recreatiecentrum ‘Tjonger’ in Delfstrahuizen (NL).

Delfstrahuizen is a small village in the beautiful watery province of Friesland. The province of Friesland is located in the north of Holland (also known as the Netherlands). The Recreatiecentrum ‘Tjonger’ is situated close by the largest lake of Friesland, the Tjeukemeer.

The Recreatiecentrum ‘Tjonger’ is a rebuild farmhouse with two dormitories, of 20 persons each, a large kitchen, and a cosy accommodation with a bar. Each of the dormitories has a washing accommodation with two lavatories and a (warm) shower. The farmhouse is sited on a private landed property with, among other things, a small field to play ball games.

Sailing we do in sailing boats called ‘Valken’ (‘Falcons’). These (open) boats have room enough for 5 persons (1 instructor, 4 participants). The sailing boats are situated within a stoneworp’s throw in our own harbour in the small river ‘Tjonger’. Dependent on the weather and what you like to do we will give you sailing instruction at the Tjeukemeer or we will make a sailing trip to another village or town in Friesland like Sloten or Lemmer.

The staff of the sailing camps is a number of enthusiastic people. Together they have lead and organized many sailing camps in the last many years. The people of the staff are all volunteers. The staff consists of: the sailing staff (the instructors or ‘skippers’) and two staff members who cook dinner etc. (The cook staff). The staff prepared an evening program and an alternative day program in case it's not possible to sail. (Incidental the weather is not always beautiful). Of course, in consult with all of you and within our possibilities, we can do something else.

The prices. The price of a whole week sailing camp is 250 €, all-in. The price includes food and drinks like coffee, tea, milk etc. Other drinks are for sale at the bar. We expect you to do some light duty but you won't get tired of that! The maximum number of participants for a sailing camp is 20..
